The Amur leopard is located in far eastern Russia, as well as North-Eastern Russia. The Amur Leopard is also one of the 10 living subspecies of leopards. There are only about 30 Amur leopards left in the wild, which is why they are considered critically endangered. On average an Amur leopard can live up to 10-15 years. The Amur Leopard only has one main natural enemy, the which is the Amur Tiger, which is also known as the Siberian Tiger. They are natural preys because not only do they have similar diets, they also live in the same habitat. The Amur Leopard are solitary animals, which means that aside from mating and territorial defense, they rarely interact with one another.

The Amur leopard is huge, and can weigh up to 70-105 pounds, can run up to the speed of 37 miles per hour, and has been reported to jump more than 19 feet horizontally and 10 feet vertically. These big cats have long legs that help them travel quickly through snow. Aside from the tan coat and black spots seen on all leopards, the Amur Leopard's coat is quite different from other big cat's, because it is pale in the winter, and becomes bright in the summer for camouflage. In the winter time, the Amur Leopard's fur can grow up to 7 centimeters long. A male Amur Leopard on average weighs from 32-4 kg, and a female Amur Leopard weighs from 25-43 kg.
